The Fear Of Mature Dating
Why is it, when you reach a certain age, people seem to feel it is grand to make fun of your love life? Is there a time in your life whether you may be eighteen or eighty when you do not want companionship? There is not anything wrong with mature dating so long as you agree with the terms.
Â
Those who are young do not understand the apprehension which comes with older dating. Usually, you spend many years with one person, became comfortable and really do not know how to approach this subject. You want to speak about it with your children but, you are afraid they will only laugh at you.
Â
Does the term “mature” mean that you are too old to enjoy swimming, fishing, dancing, running, or sex? Are you labeled as mature because you have achieved a certain number of years or does it mean you are level headed? Does the word “mature” really need to be associated with the word “dating” to separate us from the rest of the population? Why can they not just call it “dating”?
Â
Are you considered within this group because you might get to bed earlier, or rise later? Does the color of your hair (or lack of hair) determine if you can be in this dating class? If you have children older than twenty, does this make you more mature and more date-able?
Â
Maybe, you would feel better with a group dating idea. You do not go as a couple but, in a big group and can have quite a bit of fun. If you desire being with someone you may invite them to go with you as you venture into this new area. This may alleviate some of your fears about dating one on one.
Â
Love your life, not matter what your age. Date if you want and go out with whoever you want. It is your life and you will only live it just once.
