It is not always be as simple to follow what the recipes tell. Some cookbooks tell only about seasoned cooks.
Words like batter, medium rare, tablespoon, minced and cubes will be jargon words for those who do not have any experience with cooking a dish.
The best solution to this is to always keep a dictionary with you. By looking that way you can find meaning of each word and then proceed from there. Don’t be fearful to see those words. They are all in the dictionary, I assure you.
You can always buy a cook book that are especially made for the trainee if a dictionary not works for you. There is an illustrated explanation about all the cooking terms in some cook books. If a dictionary not suits you, you can always buy these simple cookbooks instead.
2. Always arm yourself with measuring materials
Measurement is the most important part in cooking a dish. If you have not measured your ingredients well, it may be possible that your dish will not taste as it should be. Too much of flavoring and you could have a too salty or too sweet a dish. If you have not added some extra things to your dish it will not taste better ande kids will not eat it.
3. Go slowly.
Great food is never achieved in speed. If you want to make some good dish themn you have to boil the meat for one hour. The meal you are cooking will experience a lot of difference if meat is not properly boiled.
There is same ideas when you are over the time frame. Always having a clock in your kitchen counter or if possible a timer is important. This will make timing the food a lot easier as you can always put an alarm to remind you. It is too good
The good idea to put more lead time for you to cook the food. If the recipe book says, 1 hour, allot 30 minutes more in your time. Cooking the food in hurry will only spell disaster.
